Interior Painter Colorado Springs | ColorCraze Pro Painting
CORE SERVICE · COLORADO SPRINGS + PUEBLO

Interior painting, done quietly, done right.

Rooms, full homes, remodel finishing — with the prep step most painters skip.

Premium Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore interior lines, low-VOC and altitude-rated. Furniture moved and returned. 2-year written workmanship warranty. Call Jonathan direct — you'll talk to the painter, not a lead broker.

The job is prep, not paint.

Ask any painter who's been doing this a decade and they'll tell you the same thing: the finish you see on the wall is 80% prep and 20% paint. That's the part most crews race through — skipping the patching, rolling over dust, taping sloppy cut-ins — because prep is slow and the customer doesn't see it. We do the opposite. Interior painting is our core residential service, and we treat the prep step like it matters, because it does.

Here's what that looks like on a ColorCraze job. We patch every nail hole, ding, and hairline crack with drywall compound and sand it smooth. We caulk trim-to-wall seams so the finish line reads clean instead of crooked. We sand any gloss or uneven sheen so the new coat bonds instead of fish-eyes. We prime bare drywall, water stains, and any patch larger than a quarter. We tape cut-ins along ceiling and trim edges and cut them by hand, not freehand across the ceiling line. Only then does the first coat of finish paint go on.

And we handle the rest of the job the way you'd want it handled in your own house. Furniture gets moved to the middle of the room and returned when the coat is dry — you don't haul your own couch. Drop cloths go down over the floor, not plastic bags over the floor. We vacuum and wipe down before we leave every day, not at the end of the week. A typical room is 1 to 2 days. Every job is backed by a 2-year written workmanship warranty. That's what a careful interior finish actually is.

Four steps, no shortcuts.

Prep — patch, caulk, sand, prime, tape

Dust-contained sanding, not open sanding. We patch every nail hole and ding, caulk trim-to-wall seams, sand glossed or uneven areas, spot-prime bare drywall and patches, then tape cut-ins along every ceiling and trim edge. Furniture gets moved, floors get covered.

Paint — cut in, roll, back-roll

The order matters. We cut in the edges by hand against the tape line, roll the field in even overlapping passes, and back-roll to lay the finish down flat. Two finish coats on every surface that needs it — because "one-coat coverage" is a paint-can claim, not a real-wall result.
Day 1–2
04

Cleanup & punch-list walk-through

Tape comes off while the finish is still tacky so the line stays crisp. Furniture goes back, drop cloths come up, we vacuum and wipe down. Then we walk the room with you — flashlight, punch-list, any touch-ups handled same day. You get warranty paperwork and a finished room, not a project to chase.
Day 2

Three things every interior job covers.

Furniture Moved

We move it, we move it back. You don't empty the room before we arrive and you don't reassemble it when we leave. Heavy, fragile, or awkward pieces get flagged at the walk-through and handled with the right gear. Drop cloths cover the floors and everything stays inside the room it started in.

Dust Containment

We sand with dust bags on the sander — not open sanding that coats every flat surface in a haze of drywall dust. Doorways get plastic-sealed to the adjacent rooms, HVAC returns get covered, and we vacuum and wipe down at the end of every day. Your kitchen stays a kitchen while we work.

2-Year Written Warranty

Every interior painting job is backed by a 2-year written workmanship warranty against peeling, cracking, and defective application. It's written into your estimate, not a verbal line at the end of the call. If something goes wrong on a finish we applied, we come back — and we make it right.

Jonathan painted our whole main floor in three days — and cleaned so thoroughly I could have invited guests over the same night.

What homeowners ask us before they book.

How long does interior painting take for a typical room in Colorado Springs?

Most single rooms take 1 to 2 days start to finish — one day for prep, patching, taping, and the first coat; a second day for the finish coat, trim touch-ups, and furniture-return. Whole-home interiors usually run 4 to 7 working days depending on square footage, ceiling heights, and how much trim and ceiling work is included. You get a firm schedule in writing before we start, not a rolling estimate.

What paint brands do you use?

We spec premium interior lines from Sherwin-Williams (Emerald, Duration Home, SuperPaint) and Benjamin Moore (Aura, Regal Select) — not the builder-grade or contractor tiers. These are low-VOC, hold up to scrubbing, cover in fewer coats, and level flat without lap marks. Paint selection is part of the walk-through: we match sheen and tier to each room's traffic and light, so you're not paying for Emerald in a closet or getting builder-grade in your kitchen.

Do I need to move my furniture?

No — we do it. Furniture gets moved to the center of the room, covered in plastic, and moved back once the finish is dry. Anything fragile, heavy, or awkward (pianos, large art, shelving contents) we'll flag at the walk-through and plan for. You don't have to empty the room before we arrive, and return-to-place is same-day once the room is finished.

When's the best season to paint interiors in Colorado?

Interior painting works year-round in Colorado — climate-controlled rooms don't care about the outside weather. That said, winter and early spring are our lighter season, so scheduling is easier and lead times are shorter. Summer and fall book out faster because exterior season competes for the calendar. If you know you want interior work done, winter is the time to call and lock a slot.

Do you offer a warranty on interior painting?

Yes. Every interior painting job is backed by our 2-year written warranty against peeling, cracking, and defective workmanship. It's written into your estimate, not a verbal promise at the end of the walk-through. If something goes wrong on a finish we applied — within two years, on our workmanship — we come back and make it right. Call (719) 413-7933 if you have a warranty question on a past job.
